This week =)

Had an interesting week actually. On thursday, went to an art gallery to witness abstract drawings as well as abstract dance improvistion (response towards the drawings).
And I actually enjoyed contact improvisation in dance class. What is actually contact improvisation? It is actually developed by non dancers like athletes, artistic gymnasts, akido practitioners which is "dangerous" to the normal eye (I agree with it) but it is fun and interesting experience. Imagine human "logs" arranged side by side then rolling together. With proper technique, start crawling on top of them, automatically later at some point, you will be "carried away" on top of the rolling logs ie "free ride" and slowly crawl out there. I like it because I am relatively light but when we swap roles, I could feel the weight against me but if you do it properly, it will not have any negative impact after that. Contact improvisation is heavy, ie weight release based (means you got to be real relax when doing it). So basically, you can crawl over, above, climb, sit on your friend's bridge structure and always in a relaxed manner (flat back "table" with palms and legs on the floor). There's this release based lifting too, which actually leaves me petrified until I grab my friend's pants to avoid falling (hehe sorry).
Today went to the Auckland Town Hall to watch Auckland Philharmonia and UoA music school performance. It was a competition actually between 3 soloists (pianist, flute player, violinist) playing with the orchestra. Awesome music. And is free too.=)
International Day in Ororke will be on 19th may. Have heaps of agmts due too. Tackling them one by one. Hope I survive next week (crazy and birthday week too...sob). Before I forget, Happy Mothers' Day too=) Love you, mum.
