End of cny:chap goh meh in auckland

Just came back from the Lantern Festival(15th day of the lunar new year) at Princess Street. It was CROWDED! Seeing ppl more than seeing the stalls there. Is like a "chinatown night market" but the only thing is it is held once a year. Did not stay there for long, didn't like crowded places.

Well......1st week of 2nd sem was pretty okay...except a bit of a bad start when I fell sick. But I am recovering quickly which is good news.=) Accounting, Finance subjects I find them okay....bearable so far.Time will tell. Maths 208 a bit confusing...yeah looks like I have to do some work here.Due to poor internet connection for a day in hostel (actually I can't even access the net) I end up going to tutorial empty handed for the 1st time.Pissed off as well because they put up the materials only a night before the tutorial too. Really feel bad about it.

Dance 101g seems to be a very challenging paper...they do not teach u to dance, is more on self and peer exploration learning, choreography and improvisation which may be very subjective.
Contemporary dance....yeah all about expressionism, dance wt bare feet and flexed feet, lots of contraction, rolling, really letting go ur body movements, attack,SPACE,dynamics! and abstract too=) A total change from ballet I am used to.Btw, most of my coursemates did ballet.Our first practical class was about creating 8 simple greeting movements in dance form and perform it in front of ur peers.For example,dance out a handshake making it "big" and "exaggerating".That is DANCE.:) Really learned alot from the rest.
